The difference between neutral salt spray test chamber and acid salt spray test chamber

For those who have been in contact with the salt spray corrosion test chamber, the salt spray corrosion test chamber is one of the most common products in the ring test industry. What are the differences between neutral and acidic salt spray corrosion test chambers?

The test methods they satisfy are also different: neutral salt spray chamber according to GB/T2423.17-2008, GB/T2423.18-2000 "Basic procedures for electrical and electronic products test Ka", salt spray test method and GB/T10125- 1997, GB/T10587-2006, GB10593.2-1990, GB/T1765-1979, GB/T1771-2007, GB/T12967.3-2008, GB/T5170.8-2008 and other national standard customization, acid salt spray chamber, in addition to the test methods specified in the national standard, it is necessary to expand the standard settings of IEC, MIL, DIN, ASTM, IS, CNS.

The neutral salt spray corrosion test chamber and the acid salt spray corrosion test chamber use different spray liquids:
Neutral salt spray test using 50g / L sodium chloride aqueous solution, PH value 6.5-7.2.

The acid salt spray test is to add glacial acetic acid to the neutral salt spray test solution and adjust the pH to 3.1-3.3.

The temperature used in the test method is different:
Neutral salt spray test: laboratory: 35 ° C ± 1 ° C, air saturated air: 47 ° C ± 1 ° C.
Acid salt spray corrosion test: laboratory: 50 ° C ± 1 ° C, air saturated air: 63 ° C ± 1 ° C.

Then there is the difference between the finished materials:
For the former, the whole box material can be as long as PVC reinforced hard plastic plate, while the latter requires PP material. Because PP boards are more resistant to high temperatures and strong acids than PVC sheets.
